Hi Johnny ! Sorry for the delay in replying. I’ve been away in the interior arears, giving talks & workshops on my smart farming programmes. Anyway, for now I’m pricising the Gaharu seedlings (3 month old) @ RM50 each, CIF. There are all of the superior spp. called, AQUILARIA SUBINTEGRA.
3 months old, priced at RM50.00 or typing error, where it RM5.00 or Five Ringgit!!?? Need to confirm.
How about the specis called AQUILARIA MALACCENSIS, do you have it?
The previusly staed price is confirmed @ RM50/seedling. Under my smart farming programme, I consider a tree of Gaharu is a “legacy tree” to the planters, because that single tree could potentially worth several hunderd thousands ringgits – if it is to be innoculated with the right vaccineto produce gaharuwood when the tree reaches 5 year old and above.
AQUILARIA MALACCENSIS is one of gaharu spp. found in Malaysia. Accorging to various research findings on gaharu’s quality, this spp. falls third in the list.

Is it proven already that it can produce gaharu if inoculated? Where can we have the ’special body’ to do the innoculation for us in Malaysia?

I suggest, you may do more indepth search on this subject, from the various relevant existing web Sites to clear your doubt.Just do a search using the terms; gaharu or agarwood & hopefully you would be more informed. Anyway, It’s my pleasure too, to inform you that beside being very much involved in cultivating the plant, I also do have some experiences,skills & trainnings in the innoculation process. However,I would love to have some personal discussion with you on the possiblity of having “smart-partnership” on the subject.

Nice to meet you online via your weblog, doc! Actually, I’m a subscriber to Daily Jatropha Biofuel News – that’s how I came to know about Dr. Luhat Technology Institute.
About Gaharu (Engkaras), I’ve planted two seedlings at out office compound. It could be of “microcarpa” species – I’m not sure about it. Planted in September 2006, the saplings are now about 2-m tall. Yup, Gaharu (Engkaras) is a slow growing plant, just like Belian.
If you may, hopefully you’ll carry out some research on “Belian Superbulk”, too! Anyway, I’m not a geneticist; I’m just an agriculture enthusiast on the block!
